A Nightmare on Elm Street is a licensed action-platform game developed by Rare and published in North America by LJN in October 1990. Players search Elm Street locations for Freddy Krueger’s bones while managing a sleep meter that changes the character’s abilities and the enemies encountered. The NES release supports up to four players with the NES Four Score or Satellite, an important physical-use detail even though those accessories were not packaged with the game.
